ok thanks. i have been to a music store actually, the guitar still had its original strings and whatever i tried it sounded strange. they got me the right strings (before it actually had three metal and three plastic ones) and got a friend to restring it since he has done it loads of times and does it pretty dam well.
@jessica, how do you play 6th string then? i guess if its your thumb but that only allows one fret at a time.

Quite a few photos seem to have been uploaded in the last few days, what guide are they being used for?

There are several ways you can go about it, but yes, you will have to create a alternate directory with new ui templates. You can then add in the user agent code to sniff what sort of browser/device is looking at your site.
For my personal site we shift it to mobile.chicowebdesign.com, but for our other clients site, we use php and keep the url angrybirdstees.com for both mobile and traditional.

I don't know. Its kinda hard to tell at 75 by 75 pixels. I blew it up in Preview but still couldn't tell. My best guess would be something brown...?? :p

$500 plus $60 per game is a lot just to play a video game
I bought an NES for about $35 and can get games for a few bucks each!
not sure what you are going on about here....
and again...

This is one of the neater toys I've seen in a while. You run a little program that scours RSS feeds for audio links and pushes them into iTunes playlists. Sync up your iPod (or just use iTunes if you don't have one), and you have a sort of time-shifted personalized radio thing.
I'm using iPodderx (http://ipodderx.com/), but see the article for other possibilities.

sorry guys, but upon checking www.apple-museum.net (http://www.apple-museum.net/) today, I realized that the site is down...
there is an explanation on the site why (apparently too much traffic...)
it's pretty sad, since I always thought of that site as one of the best about Apple's history and Apple products of yesteryear (together with everymac.com (http://www.everymac.com/) and lowendmac.com (http://www.lowendmac.com/))

I just talked with my girlfriend. She goes to SIUE and confirmed that their bookstore is going to be selling Leopard for the discounted $69 or $79 price (not sure which one, exactly) - BUT they don't expect to have it for a few days after the 26th.
For that kind of savings, it is tempting to wait ... but on the flip-side, half the fun of these things is getting together with a bunch of fellow Mac-users and being able to bring it home as soon as it's out. If the plan is getting a big group together at West County Apple Store ... I'll see if we can be there. At least she can get the $16 or whatever off for being a student, at the store, I guess.
I will definitely be there as soon as I can get away from dinner at my school! I'll be bringing about 10 converts to the Mac faithful as well ;-)

Ditto I also check but they only have the previous generations. Seems like they will have iLuv cases, though.

There seems to be a reading comprehension failure on your part.
You can either set up with a clean slate or use your backup. In this case, restore has a different meaning.
Thank you for your kindness, Ozweepay.

The Fratelli's.
They're from Glasgow and are pretty sweet, and they're getting pretty big. I was meant to go see them at Hogmanay but it was cancelled due to the weather.

The reservation line for the ipad went really fast, the non-reservation one was slower. I haven't been to any iPhone launches though - they will definitely move slower because of the activation.
Thanks for the info.
Hopefully the line isnt that long, bc im not sure ill have the patience that early in the morning!

Hey Xstep,
I just tried to export one scene at a time using imovie (but in the 16:9 ration which allows meto export using HD- and with no compression) and then importing again into imovie. This seems to work fine! When I had done it before i used 4:3 where there is no option for HD, so that is why there was so much loss in resolution.
I was a bit reluctant to using 16:9, but now i think it will be just as fine. As long as the image gets better.
I must say though that I dont like Istopmotion!!
When trying to use the 16:9 ratio there (because when I used 4:3, even on the pro version, i still lost a lot of quality)
the software decides how to crop the image, which is just to take the middle part. That was so annoying because not all sequences had that composition, so I got a lot of cropped heads etc. It would have been so much better to be able to move that around like you can in imovie.
Then the quicktime solution didnt work either. Which appeared to be a bug in Snow leopard I found in another forum. Supposedly some people get problems creating an image sequence in quicktime once they have leopard installed. The screen just got blank for me, and the same had happened to a bunch of other people too...
So, thanks for the advice on imovie!! It turned out the easiest and best way to solve my problem!i
Thanks again!!
I also hope this reply might help somebody else..

Nice find. Looks MIB from your pix. Care to share how much it was?
It is! very clean, no cracks. Boxes are in great condition also, I collected them from the seller to save any further damage from the couriers!
Cost was 200 GBP, so about $316, may seem expensive in the US but I think it was a good deal considering its overall condition.

You mentioned "when it does gain support" does that mean there is talk of updating drivers, or is it more likely that it will only be supported in future updates of the Macbook model itself?

Very cool vid. I wouldn't mind picking up a PS3 as soon as there is a little bit of a price drop. Lair is going to be an awesome game. :D

I have to buy a new tripod too as the old one, which was ok for my old camera won't support the weight of the new one. It's almost exactly the same weight as the 7D. You didn't mention how much you want to spend, but I have two friends who both have the Manfrotto 190Cx Carbon Fibre Q90 (http://www.manfrotto.com/product/8374.58969.82552.0.0/190CXPRO4/_/190Cx_Carbon_Fibre_Q90_4-section_Tripod) with the 4-section legs for travel, which is the one I'm considering. They've been very happy with them. There is a 3-section leg model as well. The centre column has a quick lift and folds over sideways, great for macros etc. I don't know what head I'm going to get yet.
